Maternity
Full antenatal and postnatal care is provided with either a delivery on the Midwife Led Unit at Chase Farm Hospital or shared care at a hospital of your choice.
Family Planning
The doctors and Practice Nurse offer a full range of family planning including coil fittings.
Cervical Smear Tests
Regular screening can help prevent cancer of the cervix. We recommend that women between the ages of 25 and 65 years have a smear at least every five years. If you think you are due for a smear, please make an appointment with the Practice Nurse.
Child Immunisation
It is important that all children and babies are immunised. Our recall system will ensure that your child is offered full immunisation in our clinic, except for BCG vaccinations.
Child Health Surveillance
In conjunction with the health visitor we cover child development checks. Your baby’s first 6 week check will be carried out by your doctor at your postnatal appointment.
COPD Clinic (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
The clinic will involve a test of your breathing, called a spirometry test, where you will be asked to fully empty your lungs of air into a machine a few times for measurements to be taken. We will also discuss your treatment and assess your inhaler technique.
Travel Immunisations
Advice on immunisations for travel abroad can be obtained from the Practice Nurse. Please allow at least six weeks before you are due to travel
Fees
Certain services provided by your doctor are not covered by the NHS and you may be asked to pay a fee. For Example: Pre-employment Medicals, Private certificates, etc.
